The Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, popularly known as NRS Hospital, is a medical teaching institution and public hospital at Sealdah in the heart of Kolkata. It was formerly known as the Campbell Medical School.

History
The foundation stone was laid on the 1st of December in the year 1873 at the Sealdah Market and was named Sealdah Medical School. The following year it was renamed after the then Governor Lt. Campbell as Campbell Medical School. After independence from the British rule this college was renamed after the famous alumnus physician Sir Nil Ratan Sircar.

Description
The institution, run by the Government of West Bengal, is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. It has both undergraduate and post graduate studies in different pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical departments and is recognized under the Medical Council of India, New Delhi.
